Intellisense for .skin files in Visual Studio 2010

Intellisence for .skin files is not available by default in Visual Studio 2010. Which makes it very painful, frustrating and make you feel like quit using Visual Studio all together and you may end up losing a bulk of your hair as you may have pulled them out because the frustration it caused. Well enough story! and follow this procedure:

  1. Tools -> Option…
  2. Select Editor -> File Extension
  3. type skin in the Extension text box
  4. Select “User Control Editor” from Editor drop down list
  5. Click Add and then OK
  6. Close any skin file (if there is one open already) and reopen it
  7. You have your intellisence working 😉
